We’ve got the possibility of doing routes within the OS map feature we have and it could calculate total distance (we’ve tried a basic one in this post). But we don’t use GPS devices ourselves so we probably wouldn’t go that far.

Looks like you’ll come down Cut Gate which is quite good in place, down to the reservoirs.
You could go up Gores which is quite a long climb with a fair few rocks at the start. Then you have a choice; you can descend HaggTor and go up HopeX DH, I’d be surprised if you didn’t have to push most of that cos its mega rocky (especially if its at the end of the ride). OR You could turn right at the top of HaggTor and take the more gentle descent to the Snake Pass and a gentler climb (but with lots of large loose rocks on one straight) up Blackly Clough to Hope Cross. Then you’ll be going down Jagger Clough to Edale.

Hope that’s helpful, I can email some pictures (that aren’t on here) from bits of that route if you want?

Looks like a long ride.
Jeff

Nice rides you have there. I was just wondering if I could incorporate any into this ride.

Were basically mountain bikers from outside Leeds and have been venturing into the Peaks for some weeks now. Any advice/tips you can give us on the above course would be greatly appreciated. Yeah it is long, but we did Leeds to London MBR couple of years back so don’t worry 🙂

Thanks

Matt
