Sorry about the slow reply. Now that the clocks have gone back evening rides are a great way to enjoy a couple of hours of riding. Whilst there are not many walkers around. Let us know will have to meet up and show you some trails.

Hey,Ive just got back into DH after a long long break from it and it would be ace to meet up with some experienced riders who know where all the good trails are in the peaks. im a reguler at wharncliffe but love hitting the natural steep technical trails in the peaks and want to know where the best ones are, but some advice and some company would be great. hope to hear from some of you soon.

There are plenty of DH runs but as always in the peaks we have to share (compete) with the army of walkers! The best way to find the better places to safely ride is to arrange to meet up with the monkeyspoon boys to show you as they do a lot of positive work for DH ers in the area & try to keep the peace with the masses! Alternatively go to mtsdownhill on myspace a come on one of our rides, we all have secret tacks that we don’t mind showing the riders who show other peoples trail
& hard work respect. You wont find a better group to go riding with as the most important thing to us is having a laugh.

Does anyone know of any MTB parks or decent DH runs round here. Been out to Cannock chase DH and Hamilton Hill freeride Park/DH but dont know of anything in derbyshire which is weird as we have hills and they dont

We tend not to go out that far and from looking on the map there aren’t many bridleways. Roych Clough is quite good and there are a few other ‘green lanes’ near it.

Dose any one no any tracks in chapel or near chapel

good to see theres some sort of ridin scene in derbyshire, iv not realy seen any one on a DH bike round me. il be sure to ride some of the trails round hope.

Yeah it’s fun and challenging descent. We ride around the Hope Valley, Derwent, and Edale quite a lot, so if we’re organising a big ride we’ll let you know.
Also (if you’re on Facebook) it’s worth checking out the Mountain Biking in The Peak District group.
