Video: Keeping it vaguely imaginary…
I don’t know. You wait ages for a video featuring a certain track and then two come along at once.
Posts with or about biking videos.

We don’t normally do videos from other places, but this one by George Milner is pretty impressive.
It sees Jack Reading (not to be confused with the more local “ing”-less youth) riding Mono6ti, Blackley Hey (aka Potato Alley) and somewhere else in a far away land. It’s interesting to see the difference in what a rider in the elite category of world DH can do on your local tracks.

Last Sunday evening Irwin and I (Jeff) rode Hope Cross DH (aka The Beast) and did some filming with my Sony a55. I’m still getting the hang of doing video on a ‘DSLR’ and need to get a better (smoother) tripod. The light sensitivity is pretty good, especially with the f1.8 50mm lense, probably better than my own eyes to a point. This proved useful as Irwin managed to get a puncher, then my spare tube turned out to be a dud and we had to use the one out my back wheel, which lost us a fair bit of time and light.
When later asked about the ride Irwin said: “Cheese and marmalade sandwiches are quite nice.”
There are also pictures of me and Matt riding there a few weeks ago in the Image Gallery:

As mentioned previously we have some unfinished video business to resolve.
This video is the pump track riding from Bamford Pump Track and Joe’s Pump Track from 2010. So if you’re in need of motivation or inspiration for building or maintaining a pump track, ready for those warm light evenings heading our way, hopefully this will help; 6 minutes of berm to berm Pumptraction!
(Also, watch out of me giving pro-man Bowman a run for his money.
)
If you didn’t see them at the time, here are the pictures from Joe’s Pump Track BBQ on the 17th of June.
Back in May last year, Irwin, Shane and I (Jeff), went for an evening session riding the track known as Mono6ti. The evening sun light made the top section look great and the camcorder did a good job of capaturing it. Irwin managed to get a puncher straight away and, without the right tools, only just managed to get his wheel off to repair it.
I had expected to some other footage to use with it and make a longer video, but that didn’t happen so here’s a nice short late one instead. I’ve still got some other 2010 stuff to edit so expect some more in the coming weeks.
