I agree that the OS map seems to misrepresent the path. I tried to walk it on 17 Feb 2013, and the route is as you have it.

In fact, I could not see any evidence on the ground that the OS version of the bridleway has ever existed.

I might also add that the pictured gulley was more like a stream on the day. Not much fun for walkers, and challenging for your avarage horse too, I should have thought. I have no idea what cyclists would make of it in this condition.

I suggest that you contact TrailMonkeys, although not listed on the calender a Sunday ride in the Ladybower area is planned for the last weekend in April, these rides are guided by a friend of James and Shane (of Monkeyspoon), who grew up the Hope Valley. Normally catering for riders of different ability.

Help please.

Just got into biking this summer. My first experience of a decent down hill ride was Jacobs Ladder. I have since tried a couple around Ladybower too although there must be more. Sunday i rode down Win Hill from the bottom of the peak to the main road and it was amazing. I am not familiar with the area nor the names given for these heart stopping rides I see posted on the net...... Can anyone give me any pointers/directions.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there. I hope I am contacting the right people. Myself and a couple of others run a youth mountain bike club based at Glossop fire station. The age range of members is 13-18 years. We regularly ride in the Hayfield, Edale and Hope Valley areas and are always looking for new members. Our current group are of a good standard and we ride all trails and hills with rides lasting around 3 to 4 hours. I just wondered if this site could mention the club at all. Our email address is glossopymbc@googlemail.com
We also have more info on the sports section on High Peak Borough Council website (we are on the list of clubs). Excellent website, keep up the good work. Cheers, Chris Collins
